As a former police officer and graduate of the MPOTC of the Pa State Police I either do not believe the poster that this really happened. If it did, you would be filing a complaint. If you did not file a complaint then you should not post such garbage on this site. Go file a complaint or seek an attorney to file it for you. No department would put up with such nonsense from its LEOs.

You must not have been a "former" for very long if you have not seen this happen ohhh.. at least 20 or 70 times.

Ahh.. but if he catches you in said lie, you're done. You've just handed him the lube, pulled down your pants, and given him every excuse to jam it home. Only difference is you will feel violated as all hell afterward and won't even have arrest papers to show for it.

If you lie about having a gun..and or somehow comes out that you do, you have satisfied both prongs of Terry that he needs to cuff and search you and your vehicle. You are 1) Armed and 2) you are now dangerous.

Hell the one who disarmed me needed instructions - from me - just to *clear* my 1911, no way he was taking it apart.

If I stop someone and I am not familiar with their firearm, I point it in a safe direction and pull the trigger until it stops firing. I then know the firearm is unloaded and we are all safe.
