Ahh....but anyone *could be* a felon....that's just good police work. But assuming any cop *could be* a JBT and acting accordingly....that's parnoia and being "uncooperative".

I stand by that statement (minus the humor since your all so sensitive) because that's the reality of the situation. If you get caught lying about possessing a firearm you are setting yourself up for a bad time with little if any recourse.
    Welcome to Poofa
Stick around, in a week or two you won't even notice it anymore.
Poofa is good people, we fight and bitch, but it's a good bunch of guys and gals.
    Happy to have you.

I don’t understand this. Wouldn’t anything that comes out if the prohibited question, including the lie, be ‘fruit of the poisoned tree”? If so, then I would think there would be recourse.

Yes.. if you were charged criminally with something then it would be subject to suppression. If you are not charged criminally however, you are basically talking about questioning during detention that isnt going to be used against you.. that's a tough one.

And my refusal to answer, or inaccuracy in answering, is nothing personal, it's just me exercising my rights. Be careful in your actions because my refusal does not indicate criminal activity.

You could easily make the case that by not admitting you are heeled, you are protecting the officer.
Cops are not generally gun guys. I carried a 1911 in uniform for close to 15 years. During that time, I had numerous seasoned cops tell me "hey, your gun is cocked".

It's far safer for everyone concerned if the peeler keeps his sugar smeared hands off my pistol.
Unless he's a dea agent with a Glock and dread locks, for example.
