OHH, it's the weekend before I go to Quantico for the Navy Fleet matches. Would be a great final practice. I liked going there last year.

The email address is wrong (typo from the competition tracker from last year, they corrected it this year), its @ptd.net.

The competition tracker page is https://ct.thecmp.org/app/v1/index.p...it&match=16535 . The generic description they have for the match is alittle off. It is a 55 shot match regardless of rifle (not 35 for Springfield and vintage military), using the B course of fire that t-bolt described above. And a reload is required during the rapid fire stages.

Any safe centerfire military style rifle may be used for the match. Official results sent into the CMP will be for as-issued configuration M1 Garands, 1903/1903a3 springfields, other vintage military rifles (Mausers, Mosins, Enfields, etc), and modern military rifles (M1a, Ar15, Aks, etc). Everything else will be in the unlimited class. Any military rifle that has a magazine of some sort will be competitive on this course of fire, it is really about how proficient you are with it.

Both the match and the clinic count as marksmanship activities to qualify to purchase surplus US rifles (and hopefully starting this year 1911's), parts, and ammunition from the CMP.

Good luck at Quantico if I don't see you. Finally got something rolling to go for Remeber the Brave weekend at Quantico with a few of the guys from the state team, but then wife veto'd it because its Memorial day weekend. Was going to be fun, 800 agg, a leg, 4 man team, and a rattle battle. Going to have to wait for my son to get the tie breaker vote in a few years.
