    Default Heizer 45

Interesting, might have to check it out from Shot Show. My Heizer 45 single shot is a bear to shoot, wonder how this will be - same ?

Just saw prices at Buds of $716 for blued and $768 for Stainless w/Bronze slide. Think I'll pass for now

This goes into the "Absolutely no way, no interest whatsoever" category for me. There are way too many great CCW and pocket carry options for me to consider that. Ignoring the fact that it's hideous, mag cap at 5 for flush fit is an immediate write off for me. My CZ RAMI can be comfortably pocket carried and carries 10 flush. The new Sig P365 also carries 10 and falls into the Micro/Pocket carry realm.

    Pass. Hard Pass.
I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

No way when I could buy a shield .45 for each pocket and do a New York reload or dual wield
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

If you're getting a heizer get either the .223 or 7.62x39, they can at least be had cheap.

I saw it on Guns America. I was interested for about thirty seconds. Then they compared it to a 1911. That lost me, then they started talking about the grip safety. That pushed me further away. Then I found out it was single action. That killed it completely.

I liked the fact that the barrel was under the recoil assembly and lower in the hand. I love the size. I could see so much potential.

Oh yeah, the price was well out of my league for a pocket pistol.
    Some people just plain suck.

I have the Doubletap Defense in 9mm -- Heizer's unloved cousin; Heizer was suppossed to manufacture them but somehow the Doubletap Defense split off and became an independent entity; shitty that the company went belly up...maybe Heizer could resurrect the Doubletap and find a way to lower production costs to get it out of the $500 range...I found mine as at a local shop in 'used unfired' condition for $235; it serves as a backup house gun and infrequent ccw gun
