Default Generation 2 Glock with 8 Lb Connector

A while ago I acquired a Glock 19 Generation 2, which as the NY1 trigger in it and a plus marked connector, which my research tells me means it is an 8 Lb connector.

I like the gun but not so much the trigger pull.

I like to keep things simple. If I swap out the plus (8 lb connector) for an unmarked glock OEM 5 lb connector, which is available from Midway USA for about 5 bucks, is it likely to give me some improvement in the trigger? I don't expect it to shoot like a SIG, but any improvement would help.

If so, I would appreciate a recommendation on a good source to do this job. I've looked at some on line videos, but am a bit too nervous to do it myself.

    Thanks

    Tommy

It will be much better. The 5 lb is ok. I run the 3.5 in all my glocks, even my carry gun. Don't pay someone to do this. It literally takes about 30 seconds. Just check out a couple videos on YouTube. It's really easy. Don't worry about it.

As Yoder said it is very easy ( I guess because I have done it many times ) but if you don’t want to mess with it, head out to the Oaks Gunshow next week (Feb 9, 10, 11) there is a Glock guy who can hook you right up.

BTW if you have a NY 1 trigger spring, besides the connector, you will also need a conventional trigger spring, if you want to get to the stock trigger set up.

Thanks for the info guys. PS - Online I found a Glock Armorer's Manual that stated the plus connector should never be used with the NY trigger. Strange that the gun came that way.
