Many times we are there at the food court eating lunch or a quick dinner. Our family is a big spender there. *If* I am asked about my open carry, I will politely tell them that my family and I can take our hundreds of dollars a week elsewhere. If it comes to that. We'll see what happens.
Had you thought about being proactive with management? Sit down and find out their views on the issue. Even if you explain how she's behaving and your concerns about escalation.

Chances are she's only whined to stockboys or other customers, not management. That's how most of them behave.

Well, my wife and kid and I were at the Shop rite again, doing our shopping for the week. I was OCing a Beretta 96A1. I see busy-body again, and she passes us in the dairy isle. She says nothing.

Then, as I round the corner of the frozen section, I see her talking to one of the shelf stockers. She says to him,: "That makes me nervous!". She obviously saw me, and decided to go be a busy-body to one of the employees.

We were done with the shopping, so we checked out and left.

This is a place where the managers and all the employees greet me and my family every time we are there. I wonder if this lady will cause a problem in the future.
time to build up that relationship with the management and staff.
their best response to her is "he is not committing any crime, we know him and he's a good person and long time customer"
i've got a few nicknames around the places i visit and OC. none are related to my carry but odd monikers staff have given me. other places people simply recognize me or know me by name.

Maybe ask her if it would be OK to host her for a solo sushi dinner? Just let her pick out the sushi, chopsticks etc. and don't touch nothing! And don't visit the home while she's eating it.

She may become fond of you as the grandson she never had.... You know, the one that never took the time to write her a "thank-you" letter. So write her a thank-you letter????

And may periodically look for similar discounts provided by other perturbed customers...

Hey, my mom's 92 and she basically runs the stores where she shops for groceries . Lots of snappin & poppin going on. But if Shwartzkof's helo went down in the first Gulf War, she'd have no problem telling 400,000 GI's what to do...

Liberals think they have been put on this earth to tell everyone else how to live.
I think there is a good chance this thing will escalate.
Maybe she complains to upper management, or corporate, or maybe she calls an anti gun group to make an issue with corporate.
Worst case scenario is she calls 911 and claims you threatened her.
It would be wise for you to start carrying a smart phone that is recording audio/video every time you open carry.
Having video evidence to show the police would be a great help to you if she calls 911 and claims you threatened her.
Stop being reactive and start being proactive, either own the situation or be owned.
