Re: Poly 80 Glawks
I've been reading up on it and watching Youtube videos on it. Doesn't seem overly hard, just some patience with working a few files and drilling the holes right.

Re: Poly 80 Glawks
correct. i used a hand drill , dremel , file and sand paper. just take your time.
also used a sharp knife on my gerber multi tool to shave the plastic out of the guide rod and spring area.Last edited by atopp; March 20th, 2018 at 07:37 PM.

Re: Poly 80 Glawks
Didn't do mine on the sofa (wife would have divorced me for spreading plastic chips all over the place). I did mine on a drill press with an end mill to remove the tabs. The instructions say to use a hand drill on the holes, so that's what I used. The holes were a little off, but the pins still went in. The drill press was overkill; a knife or Dremel would have removed the tabs.
It's functioned flawlessly in 2 range trips with about 100 rounds through factory mags. I was actually disappointed it wasn't a little more challenging.

Re: Poly 80 Glawks
i got a slide off of ebay that has a red dot cut. didnt realize it was for a Trijicon RMR. i picked up a Vortex Venom and it wont work on the slide. Bought Trijicon sights and they wont work either with a red dot , need suppressor sights.. Prolly should have researched it more .

Re: Poly 80 Glawks
Thats the Brownells Slide, they are on clearance now cause many people don't like it only fits the Trijicon. Midway has their brand barrels on sale threaded for a Glock 17. Both companies have the 17 style poly 80 lowers on sale right now $120.
