Default Everything old is new again -- classic ARs from Brownells

Did you see the recent email from Brownells on their Retro Rifles? Looks interesting. I was going to put this in the deals thread, but they are not that!

Nice, but a bit pricey in this "happy time" of AR availability, I hope they can get their shit together with parts availability. I have been looking for an A1 upper for about two years , everyone out of stock, Brownells and Nodak have them listed but eternally backordered. Been trying to put together an XM177 build for some time. not sure why they list the XM177 carbine as having a 20" barrel. should be a pinned and welded 11.5",like this:

    https://www.del-ton.com/AR_15_Barrel...y_p/dt1032.htm

they used to offer this, the space between the front sight and fake moderator is to much to be authentic on the brownells XM

its a pretty logical place for AR's to go. The mall ninja fantasy crap is getting pretty old (and every goon owns one) so naturally people are going to want something that stands out.

I will also shamelessly show off my retro dissipator

Here's a quick run down of the 4 they are offering. I love them all but $1300.00 each is a tough pill for me to swallow right now so hopefully these wont be a limited run type thing.

I got all excited when I saw these because I figured they'd sell the furniture as well, which they do. 80 bucks for the set, or 40 for the stock or handguard separately and 15 (I think) for the A1 grip. It gets mixed reviews though and some of the complaints are exactly what I was concerned about. I really want an A1 length fixed stock for one of my rifles but I haven't found one that I'm thrilled with yet. Someday...

I love the A2 look myself. Someday I would like to do a build like this. I don't have the space to have a workshop to do it correctly but it is on my list!
