Re: Who carries a weapon light on their edc?
Along with a flashlight, I carry a G29 or G30 with a TLR-1HL in a KT Mech holster

Re: Who carries a weapon light on their edc?
Dunno if handgun-mounted flashlights are adjustable for making a bright center spot an aiming device? Or would that call for a combo flashlight/laser beam?

Re: Who carries a weapon light on their edc?
.I have a TLR-3 on my Beretta Px4 and a TLR-3 on my M&P .40 ...finding decent holsters was the hardest part . I have Bravo Concealment ( before they cut back on the custom work ) for my Beretta and an Aries tactical for the M&P . I carry the Beretta whenever I can and is in arms reach of the front door and the Smith guards my rear entrance to my house in my back bar.

Re: Who carries a weapon light on their edc?
I'm not.
If a defensive encounter happens on the street in a low light area, I would wager you already have your edc flashlight in hand, & it probably has better output & interface than anything you can attach to your carry gun.
Home defense is a completely different animal & not what this thread is about.

Re: Who carries a weapon light on their edc?
It's not just about the amount of lumens the weaponlight puts out. Yes, having a high output is better, but the biggest advantages are being able to able to:
- Use a more familiar two-handed grip
- Have better recoil management
- Be able to have a freed support hand

See that S&W is pushing the 2.0 Shields with the lasers now that they bought Crimson. Might rather go with something like that than a light. I will always have a light with me but not on the gun. They're really offering them cheap compared to normal add-on lasers. Proclaiming the holster makers are on board with them too.

Lasers can be useful at night, but being able to PID a threat is vital.
