    lfitz, hahaha.. yes. There are two stories in the family. The first is that he half bobbed it after dropping the gun and bending the hammer. The other is he bobbed it so that it would fit in his pocket better. We all tend to believe the first story because it sound more like him.

    Very nice photos and post. That gun is in great condition!

    If the lower portion of the backstrap curves inward, it's a round butt. Looks like it curves inward to me.

    I believe the plate screws should be flat, not domed like the crane retaining screw...just an fyi.

    I bought a set of Hogue rubber grips (actually, one-piece) $19.99 delivered from Amazon Prime. Makes shooting it a real pleasure.
