S&W Model 36 with Factory Target Grips /Pics
This is my S&W Model 36 ca. 1973 that's been in the family since my father purchased it back in the early 70's. It's a square but gun with Factory Target Grips that I found at the last Oaks Gunshow.
It appears that the gips were never used since there's not a scratch on them and the checkering is still sharp. I think they're ca. 1980's.
Best Regards,

Ok, I didn't realize that the pictures I posted were hyperlinks.
All fixed.
By the way I'm using Postimage.org to post my images now since Photobucket is crap.

Great pictures of a very nice gun. Are the grips numbered to the frame?

Ok I reread that. You found the grips at the oaks not the whole gun. Never mind. Still very nice.

Re: S&W Model 36 with Factory Target Grips /Pics
MD2, Thanks..... it's a Square Butt
As for the finish my father purchased the gun in 1973(new) after he was robbed driving a taxi. He carried it about as often as you can carry a gun even as a LEO BUG(+30years) and that is the original finish minus a little blueing touchup by me.
It's a testament to the fine craftsman at S&W.
