The M & M M10 (WASRs) were considered to be a cut above the typical Century WASRs back in the day.

Considering what recent Romy WASRs go for, you stole this.

    Nice find.
I had a guy on a job ask me what AKs were worth.
At that time Dunhams had them.on sale for $399.
He said he didn't want to buy one but wanted to sell one.
I wasn't interested in AKs, had 3 SKSs and just wasn't interested.
It was his brothers who passed.he inherited the gun, his kids were teenagers and he felt he wanted to be rid of it.
He asked again a week later so I told him I'd give him 300 sight unseen as long as it wasn't a POS.
A few days later, he brought it to the parking lot.
It was a Chinese, still in the cardboard box, 2 of the 3 mags were still wrapped in plastic. Only thin missing wss a manual.
He said they shot a couple hundred rounds through it, put it away and the brother passed a year later.

It looked clean. I ended up.giving him 350.
A few months later, I found out it was worth a bit more than what I oaid.

    When I finally

    When you finally...???

I'm often tempted by those cheap AK's (I don't own an AK...yet). But then I hear the horror stories. Would love to hear how it worked out for you.

Ummm... he didn't buy a "cheap AK" - he STOLE a very pricey, "good AK".

    LOL!

Yeah, I realize that. Me being tempted by cheap AK's was a separate thought it spurred...

Anyway, I see the other active thread on just that topic anyway.

Ha. "When I finally" saw what the gunbroker asking prices were for this gun, I was somewhat surprised.

It does cycle the plastic cored German practice ammo better than any if the SKSs.

The Russian SKS was also a pretty decent price at 125.
It came with about 100 stripper clips and 50 rounds.
The Norinco SKS was given to me for an hour of plumbing.
    Nice tradeoff there.

    I've found a few deals
