I have a parker Ballard. I purchased this gun about 1980 in hopes of restoring it and giving it to my grandson. Turned out he was left handed and played sports instead of being a hunter.
This is the information I have copied from the rifle:
Parker Ballard Inc. Wilmington DE.
Tosche Austria
Cal 30-06
P-56936
71214499
71
Lauestahl 3
The following is what I had done to the gun by a gunsmith:
The bolt was bent so that a scope could be mounted w/o busting knuckles.
Barred glass bedded and floated.
Muzzle brake installed to reduce recoil
Trigger pull reduced to 3 pounds
Re-blued-re-checkered and refinished
I turned out beautifully with super walnut grain.

My questions:
How old is it?
What more can you tell me?
If I sell it, how much can I expect to get for it?
Where is the best place to sell it?

Thanks for all your input.
