If you go on Friday and don't wash the ink stamp off of your hand you could go back on Sunday for free

All kidding aside. While there is really no bad day to go, the best day to go is Friday if you can swing it. Most everyone is set up and the best, most reasonably priced items haven't been cherry picked yet. The show is also not as crowded.

There is an odd fallacy about Sunday in that many people think vendors are going to give stuff away at less than cost on Sunday so they don't have to take it home. While this scenario does happen on occasion; it's actually pretty rare. It's usually some poor sod who had a REALLY bad show weekend and has to pay some outstanding debt later in the week (Or the next day).

Most gun dealers, such as myself, have a shop the unsold merchandise gets re-stocked into by Tuesday. The guns, ammo, Etc. is not like the food at the concession stand; it doesn't get thrown in the trash at the end of the show.

Back in the days of cheap surplus ammo when dealers had cases and cases stacked up on the venue floor , they would cut deales Sun afternoon. I recall good surplus 7.62 (Brit,German,Port,Spanish) selling $129-149 case/1000 and on Sunday afternoon , I usually got $50 off on 2 cases

I think I got my case of Hirtenberger 7.62x51 down there a long, long time ago, you don't even find stuff like that anymore (at least II don't).

I did it at the Ft. Washington show on several occasions. Port was $129 , Hirt was $149. I still have about 5 cases.

Guess I'll go to Oaks Fri since I'm off.

Tanners doesn’t have the sub 2000 with Glock mags. I saw a post on Facebook said they’re way back ordered.

The new Ruger PCC is supposed to be able to use Glock Mags.

    Food for thought.
