If there was another ND discharge today, I missed it. Was there from 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

As someone previously posted, only two halls open, some empty tables, but crowded nonetheless. And did I mention parking? Had a 7 minute walk from my parked vehicle to the show. But they also had a short-transit yellow bus that just stopped and asked "Are you going to the gun show?" - and then picked up itinerants who were thankful for the lift.

Best finds today? (some of my favorites didn't attend this show...).

North East Target & Shooting Supply (www.nnereloading.com) in the second hall - just enter the front door, turn left, and walk straight back. Lots of brass, bullets, and primers.

Also www.targetsolutionsusa.com, from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Had a variety of cool ORANGE steel targets (dueling trees, etc.) that were well presented. As you enter, go into the first hall and walk all the way back - they're on your right side about 25 yds from the wall. Debra Kelch runs the display. And lent me a cart to wheel one of these nicely packaged items to my vehicle.

Saw several vendors selling '03-A3's (from $800 - 1,500 based on condition), Krags (the 1896 model had a masterfully-repaired crack in the wrist, sanded stock, but otherwise looked great - for around $900). Garands seemed to be priced at around $1,100 or so until you got to the Garand guy (against the far wall on the right in the first room) whose prices reflected the quality of his product, love & affection, etc. The usual .45-70 Springfield's from awful to possibly collectible condition ( $700 - 1500).

If you wanted to start a revolver collection in S&W (just point and say: "I'll take these twelve), there were plenty there that appeared to be NIB (and they had them displayed in the 40 YO boxes) - but you'd be paying a premium for the NIB. Hopefully cheaper by the dozen.

Fifty cal ammo cans in Grade 1 condition were going from $7 - 8 dollars, but others as high as $15 if you missed the bargains once you walked in and didn't look to your left 15 yds in.

What does this tell us about inflation?

While I'm wrong possibly more often than right, military spending in budget allocations just keep going up, no matter what wars we've started. Think an additional $80-85 billion for 2018 and 2019. Ammo cans are definitely getting less expensive (still waiting for the big ones to come down). I remember buying the 50 cal cans for $12 each only 9 years ago and the seller thought I was stealing them from her. And now they're $7-8 bucks?

She definitely was smarter, for if you can't identify the "mark" after ten minutes at the table, it's you!

I didn't know this at the time...

Also saw a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) and asked the exhibitor what these "gofer". The asking price is $45,000 accompanied by the remark that there aren't many in this kind of condition these days. Said somebody will come along who loves it and has no problem paying the price.''

Ummm, you could purchase a fully tricked-out Gatling Model 1877 for this price...

    Just sayin....

Not a bad day. Got 10 AR 15 mags for $75.00. Got a Used M & P in .40 for $219.00 out the door. A forward grip for my AR and beef jerkey. Didn’t see all the other stuff going on.

Successful show for me and for once I actually saw multiple deals on things I would have bought but couldn’t take them all. $25 bricks of .22 American eagle where easy to find at multiple tables but I did see one guy that had blazer .22 bricks for $20. Thats the cheapest I’ve seen a brick in a long time. I saw a stoeger cougar 9mm for $299. That’s the cheapest I’ve seen in person. Then I saw a CZ-52 original gray finish for $299. No rearsenal mark. He also had a blued, rearsenaled one for $350. Not sure why the original was less and in nice condition. I seriously thought about that one but I already have one so no. I’ve wanted a Kel-Tec PMR-30 for a while and found one used but like new for $339. Came to $364 out the door so I grabbed it. No upcharge for credit card, no crazy transfer fee and nice guys to deal with.

Finished up with some Prvi Tokarev ammo at $19/box it was lowest I’ve seen at a show although it’s less online so maybe that wasn’t great. I also grabbed a brick of CCI fmj .22 WMR for the Kel-Tec for $100 which seems decent based on what I saw online and, of course some jerky for my son.

Might be. Too many ADs killed the huge GS at the Monroeville ExpoMart.

That and gross mismanagement by the then-directors of the PGCA, but that is water over the bridge.

A quick search shows stupidity discharges at several gun shows around the country this weekend.
