    Default NEPA dining suggestions

Looking for places from fine dining to burger joints. I'm about 10 miles north of Scranton. Good to know if the place is firearm friendly. (Please, no Old Country Buffet jokes.)

I've heard of a Banko's somewhere up there from other people, and another place called The Coal Bin.

Don't know about 2A friendly, but a buddy of mine is very happy that there is now a "Tilted Kilt" in Dixon City.

Smiler's Bar and Grill in Dixon City has a French dip worth the drive for me (35 minutes)...

Newfoundland Hotel, about 35 minutes from you has great food...

HammerJax at the junction of rt 435 & Phillips rd in Clifton. About a 30 minute ride for you down I-380. Cold beer and great burgers.

I really enjoy Savory Maza in Scranton. It's a small mom and pop Lebanese food restaurant. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. It's also a BYOB place.

When I am coming down thru that way, I am fond of Barry's BBQ (B3Q) just across the bridge in West Pittston. Barry is an ex cop, so I would think he would be 2A friendly, but I never asked. His brisket is usually his better cut, as I prefer it over the pork. I cut down PA 92 from Tunkhannok and he is right there at US 11 in what used to be a gas station.

My former PSG (who is also an officer with the Scranton PD), took me to a place called Fratelli's. Good food and gun friendly if I recall correctly. I know he and I talked about off duty weapons, and I'm pretty sure one of the owners also chimed in as well. We were treated really well. This was in 2014.

I was only ever in the area for drill or other military obligations, so my dining experiences were on the limited side as well as knowing if places were gun friendly. Two Guy's Pizza in Honesdale has an awesome pizza called The Smokehouse. There is also a place called the Pennsyltucky grill that was pretty good as well (located next to a gun store).
