In Philadelphia it is Delaware Valley Sports Center
I am in my third year of membership which tells you a lot. I did belong to a private range much closer to me in Holmesburg. [Not the Fish and Game Club] Del Val is much much better. The range is clean, you will not find a lot of lead residue like I saw at other ranges. The big difference between this place and Classic Pistol {which is not the closer range I mention} is the attitude of the staff. The 3rd time I visited the owner greeted me as I walked in the door by name. I was impressed. I have bought 6 or 7 used revolvers from Anthony. They only have a few at any time. The prices were amazing.
S&W pre 27 5" in 90% condition $575.00
S&W 696 ND 44Spl 3" box & papers $600.00 {Sold for $+++ I did not trust the thin forcing cone}
S&W 30-1 .32 cal $195 {sold for $325}
Colt Cobra 1 7.8 or 2" $500 two weeks ago.
Ruger SSA 22lr $400 IIRC 2 months ago
Ruger GP100 $479 3 years ago.
S&W 36 nd 1 7/8 Nickel $400 in 2013
Sprigfield XDs 45 $5??
I can not say if his used semi autos have the same type of low prices. I don't buy semi autos as a rule.
The hours are good. Open 7 days a week noon to 8:30 pm except Saturday 10AM to 8:30pm and Sunday Noon until 6pm. Location is 101 Giger Rd 19115 off of Red Lion and Bustelton Ave. 215 696 0141
So I wholeheartedly endorse them. I am not a friend or relative of any of the staff or the owner. But I do want good shops to thrive.

Re: In Philadelphia it is Delaware Valley Sports Center
Saw this thread, have to make an account just for this.
Went to try there range there on Jan 15th, 2016 with FIVE FEMALES that has never shot before.. Staff were very friendly and service was great, can shoot my ar15 there AND bring my own ammo! Overall experience was excellent!
cant recommend enough for a indoor range!! DId I mention that they offer groupon $20/1p or $33/2p??? comes with FREE rental too! What do we have to lose?

Re: In Philadelphia it is Delaware Valley Sports Center
I used to go there alot in the late 80's,early 90's when I lived in the NE. It was a dump at the time and I always remember cats running around. I am guessing it was sold or there are new owners? It was always a fun place to shoot because it was so laid back. There was never any range officers and you could whatever you wanted. Half the time the lines were down in most of the lanes. I think the previous owner's name was Charlie. Glad to see it has turned around.

Yeah,new owners and nicer looking place overall.I was there a few months ago with my wife and son and we enjoyed ourselves.
I am curious as to which other private range there is in Holmesburg besides the FIsh and Game Club?

Franks Double Tap. Range is a hair nicer, firearm stock much smaller.

I second and say that Anthony and his crew are great. I purchased a one year membership to DVSC before I moved out to Montgomery County. A+ staff and nice facilities.

DVSC is where I shoot. Anthony is very friendly and so is his staff. The range is very clean and well-lit. I shoot during the week and never have to wait for a lane. Another great thing is I can shoot my WASR with steel cased ammo without any issues there. I'm a very happy customer.

Re: In Philadelphia it is Delaware Valley Sports Center
When do you go during the day or at night? I have been thinking about getting a membership but not sure it will be worth it with the times I can actually make it there. Do they have a last shooter time at night, or can I show up around 7:45 and shoot for a half hour?
