Look for a used ARMALITE AR-50A1.. New ones got for ~$2,850, so should be able to find a used one for $2,200+. Love mine, well made firearm.

I have the complete SHTF mag fed 50 bmg rifle. It's a great rifle. I think you can find the single shot version of this rifle for the money you're looking to spend. Just remember, the ammo is about $4 a round, so buying the rifle is just a part of what it takes to own one of these. I would also recommend a sturdy bipod. I bought the one from Safety Harbor. It's stout enough for the 50 bmg. I would not trust a Harris/like cheapy for this rifle.
You also have to consider what you're going to use to carry the rifle back and forth to the range. My case was $200 and I bought it used. I wish you luck, but if you have just enough to buy the rifle, I'd suggest you save your money until you have a bit more to buy what you'll need to support the rifle.
Good Luck!

Reminding you that there are issues with BOHICA and they are out of business.
OP, if your budget is $2k...save up more money or get a different caliber. I had the Noreen and it was a good shooting single shot, BUT the design is horrible. I cut my hand while shooting it a few times because it has some sharp edges. Very heavy rifle, but the recoil was comparable to a 243.
I don't see too many AR50s in the $2,200 range, so that to me is holding out for a lucky sale.
Ferret 50 is what I'd recommend if I was looking at a single shot 50BMG. The dude knows what he's talking about and will spend the time to talk to you about your purchase.
