Yeah, with all these ridiculous legal grey areas, Im surprised that a lot of people haven't been wrongfully arrested yet.
Id really like the whole SBR thing to go away though.
What do they care of you put a stock on a pistol?
You'd think law enforcement would like people making pistols more difficult to conceal.

And as much as I would like to see the whole suppressor issue be a non NFA item, I think it would be easier to argue and overturn the Short Barrel rifle laws first.

    Ok.

Does this mean that those of us with "rifles" with shoulder stocks + barrels 16" and longer + OAL over 26" can now change the barrels to <16" units so long as we keep the OAL over 26"?

My SBR as configured with collapsible Magpul CTR stock(extended for measurement) and 12.5" barrel is ~30.25 inches. I approximated because I'm not about to break the muzzle device off.

I had that "A HA" moment when I heard about the "not a shotgun" shockwave and black aces thingy.....but I'm not getting this one

    Good question.

Also, if its only the Binary trigger making this a NON-NFA gun, what if you added a binary trigger to an AR pistol?
Would you then be allowed to add a regular stock like this Franklin Armory AR?

    I suspect this is a 410 shotgun.

Thats possible, but wouldn't is then be considered a "Short Barrel Shotgun" or a AOW?
An AOW still requires the super slow NFA paperwork and $5 tax stamp.

It may have a rifled barrel.

The real question is can you buy one used person to person in PA?

If it has a rifled barrel under 16" or a smoothbore under 18" - it is a firearm in PA. ...It will fall under the same situation as Mossberg's Shockwave.

So that means you will need to do a recorded transfer.

    No.

An SBR is created if you drop the overall length under 26", OR you install a barrel under 16".
