I've made a few moves lately to try to extend my hunting time. One was to get an ICOtec caller and I just ordered a Tikka .22-250 for coyotes. I like the fact that I can fill in the different hunting seasons with coyote hunting. I'll see how it works out with the rifle and if I feel comfortable enough, I'd like to try it with my crossbow.

My closest friend and myself just started Coyote hunting this past month. We've had some coyotes answer, but not much coming in yet, still having a lot of fun, trying to learn what calls to make and when.

As others have pointed out, you can use electronic calls for coyote, as well as weapon mounted lights.

FWIW, and I know I'll take a lot of flack but I could never shoot a canine like animal. your mileage may vary.

No reason to take flack. Enjoy the outdoors in the manner you like, no need to justify not wanting to hunt any particular species. Personally, I have zero desire to ever shoot a bear, or a bobcat. Not my thing.

^^^^^^^^^This...and just don't tell me that I can't shoot the yotes and we'll be good.
