Absolutely nothing wrong with MIM when it’s properly done. They are most likely outsourcing to a vendor who is inconsistent.

Recently purchased a Sig P365 12 rd. ext mag. What an ordeal trying to put the twelve rd in the mag. I could not do it. I am a retired pipefitter with very ample hand strength. I could not install the twelve round.

I had trouble with one of mine as well. Ended up putting 10rds. in it and installed into the P365. Left it like that for a couple days then put the last two rounds in the mag and it was still somewhat snug but went click. Left it for a couple more days and now have no problems. No issues at the range with any of them, to include the troublemaker.
