Default Cannabis Medical Card or NO LTCF Permit:

I just heard about this outrageous rule! So an individual getting benefits from cannabis can't benefit from firearm protection (anymore)!? How's this make any sense. Is NRA and firearm rights groups & politicians fighting this? All ya hear is opioid this and that but no mention of stripping pain pill users firearm rights, but cannabis suddenly crosses the line. BS to me.

It's against Federal Law. Already being discussed here. http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=329928

Regardless of state laws smoking dope is a crime at the national level. Besides decriminalizing marijuana has never been about expanding freedoms for the people it's about expanding taxable commodities for the .gov

Idk the logic of drinking, pain pills, cigarettes, cigars, herbals but cannabis forbids firearm ownership. Seems idiotic to me.

I agree.. however that IS CURRENT FEDERAL LAW..

Don't like laws, push to get them changed! But seeing as the AG is going after states that have legalized pot, probably not gonna happen soon

Are you a member of the NRA or any other firearms rights group? If so, what did they say when you wrote them letters asking them about this?
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

First of all, Firearms ownership was not the question. You were asking about carry license.
Second, your driver's license can be pulled for too many DUIs so its not so crazy that Gov would deny other licenses that allow you to operate a lethal piece of metal as well.
Seems perfectly logical that they would deny a license to folks who announce that they are users of a prohibited drug.

One of these things is not like the others. Can you guess which one it is?

Hint: It's illegal under federal law.
