My guess is you were in Bucks county? You must have run across the wrong person at the wrong time.... I've seen several open carry at Giant, Amish market and other surrounding stores in that area without issue.One night my wife was at Kohls (next to the Shoprite on Oxford valley road) and a woman in line actually said to an open carrier "I feel safer knowing honest people carry guns". It happens both ways...Kudos to you for your response and moving on.

Wait a second: is this the Kohl's in Ralph's Corner, across the street from Shop Rite? If so, I think the OCer who got the compliment from the woman in line was in fact me. This occurred several years ago, I was buying a gift for my wife's Christmas present at the jewelery counter. This was the week when that guy had murdered several people, and was 'on the loose'. She told me she felt better seeing me armed (I had a 44 magnum at the time), and that she had an LTCF too.

reminds me of the female reporter interviewing a youth club. One of the events was teaching kids marksmanship with 22 rifles. She asked the head of the club if that was acceptable because he was outfitting the children to grow up being mass murderers.
