    Default Delaware reciprocity

Something for those of us who have a Utah license or other out of state license to carry in Delaware to pay attention too. Last year Delaware said they were no longer recognizing Utah for reciprocity. After many emails and calls they said it was a mistake and changed what their website said. Their list of reciprocal states will come out later this month. You might want to check into their website on Jan 15th-16th to make sure there are no more mistakes.

I was thinking about getting a Virginia non-res just for Delaware.
Thanks for the post though, I'll keep an eye on it.

I thought I read that something was changing in DE. I checked both my Legal Heat and CCW apps before we went there last weekend. Both are updated and say DE still recognizes my UT and AZ permits.

You can still open carry in DE, so not a huge deal for me, since I don't have the Utah license.

The DE website was finally updated today. Utah and AZ permits are still good in DE.

Can someone please shed some light on this. Handgun laws us said DE will not recognize a non resident with a license that they recognize. So you would have to live in Utah or va for you to be legal with those permits.

Is this correct? I think the date was sept 23 2017 this change took place. I stopped carrying in DE from that date. I really don’t go much so it is not a big deal but I would like to know what the actual law is.

This statement is incorrect at this time. I don't know about September, but right this minute it says Delaware recognizes non-resident permits.

Anyone have info on renewing the UTAH?

I'd like to keep carrying in DE.

Honestly, I would suggest emailing or calling Delaware’s Attorney’s General and ask them for clarification. That is probably the best way to get a clear cut answer.
