Default New 7 shot GP100 snub is here

My LGS has two new GP100s with 7 shot cylinders and 2.5 inch barrels.

I like the snub nose full capacity magnum. I liken it to a commander 1911 in terms of size weight and firepower.

This one is very nice: barrel is on straight, very little endshake, perfect bc gap, and acceptable lock up. I think I’ll change the front site to either a traditional red ramp or a gold bead.

It fits (snugly) in my 686p holster, and I put a set of rosewood Badger combat stocks on the little beast.

Ruger did a good job with this 7 shot snub.

    Ugly! Were they high?
Stupid. If they aren't going to make it a eight shot, WHY even bother???
What were they thinking? Why do we need another revolver when nobody wants them in the first place?
I'd buy it if it had a 20 rd mag, but 7 rds??? A Hi-Point carbine is a better option and costs 1/8 the price!
Let me know when they make it in a semi-auto.

Just thought I'd get that out of the way right off the bat.

That's pretty nice. My wrist hurts just looking at it.

Because an 8-shot cylinder chambered for .357 doesn't fit in the frame window.

They apparently believe they can sell them, because there is a resurgence in interest in short-barreled revolvers, particularly in SS. And are you calling American1776 a nobody?

A revolver with a cylinder ~ 5" in diameter; that'd be something to see, let alone carry.

Nice! I'm doing .357 reloads with 125 gr. Hornady XTP's and 18.9 gr. H110. Should be nice to test at an "above freezing" range next week...
