Something I don't understand (and maybe it was covered in the last 5 pages that I didn't read) is how can it be disclosed that someone has a medical MJ card? Would that not be covered under HIPPA? Doesn't LE need a court order to see or have access to medical records?

Acetaminophen is what destroys the liver involving Vicodin and oxycodone. An overdose of prescription pain medicine is going to be from the acetaminophen long before a high enough dose of the opioid.

The PSP may be obtaining the information illegally, but it doesn't change the fact that in order to purchase through an FFL, or to obtain a LTCF you need to answer a specific question regarding MJ. You either answer truthfully and the purchase/application is terminated, or you lie and wait to see what happens tomorrow or 10 years from now. Wait until someone with legal MJ defends themselves with an illegally obtained LTCF and or firearm. The state will find out then for sure. I certainly don't believe the PSP should be able to obtain this information, but in a strange way they're probably helping the purchaser from committing a crime. The bottom line is MJ needs to be removed from the list of illegal narcotics. But since the Feds have zero chance of opening the door to any legalization, and (GASP) possible shrinking of DEA funding in any capacity, good luck.

In regards to this, the problem is the contradicting laws. Pa state police should not be able to pick when they can ignore federal law and when they enforce it. If state police are saying its illegal by federal law, rhen they should be fully enforcing it and locking up all w a medical marijuana card

Government not enforcing laws equally, and picking winners and losers? The hell you say?

You hit the nail on the head.

When you step back and look at the amount of ridiculous laws and regulations we have in this country on personal liberty, it makes me wonder what kind of country we really live in.
Im not just talking about the weed laws.
