Re: Medical marijuana and license to carry
So where does the line get drawn?
Fed law say you can't have weed. States say you can.
Fed law say you can have fullauto/semiauto firearms. Some states/locales say you can't.
When the Feds pass laws we don't like , we claim state sovereignty or states rights. When the state passes laws we don't like , we seek Federal intervention , Constitution/Bill of Rights/Supreme Court.

Re: Medical marijuana and license to carry
We are in the same "boat" so to speak as I would qualify as well. However, I much prefer clear thinking and have and will continue to tolerate pain in order to have clarity of thought. OTOH, should the pain become unbearable.....like anyone else, I would reconsider.

Re: Medical marijuana and license to carry
What may or may not be realized is that there are already 2 (almost 3) legal drugs that can be prescribed by any licensed US physician that contain the "active" ingredients of MJ (THC and Cannabidiol). There are two others available in Europe with clinical trials being set up for the US approval. These do not fall under the Federal prohibition nor the 4473 statements since they are FDA approved and licensed for specific diseases. Since there are no "taxes" to be collected by PA/Wolf, nobody wants to talk about them. The current controversies all are based on "more money for the State to use". Simply check the FDA listings or the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) for further information. The other point that people ignore is that you have absolutely no idea what you are buying at any of these "dispensaries" as the materials provided have no quality control. Dave_n

I happen to disagree with you on the quality issue. There’s no way a state as uptight as PA isn’t doing stringent testing.

I can’t say for sure, but I believe that a lot of the strains for MM don’t make you “high” or necessarily impaired. While I’m sure that you can find those things, a lot of people like me didn’t want it for anything like that, I just feel that it has to be better than narcotics all the time. I believe the common misconception now is that we all want get high, I just don’t want to be in pain all the time .

Re: Medical marijuana and license to carry
When it asks "Are you an unlawful user of drugs ect." doesn't that question forfeit your 5th amendment right from self incrimination?
Seems like you're giving up one right on the application to practice another.
