    Im sure it will be.
They want to eventually be able to access all of your prescription data.
    Which is wrong.

It was on Fox29 news last night. The video isn't up yet. Apparently, they'll cross reference the MM permit database against PICS or maybe the LTCF database. Long story short, you can't shoot and smoke. It's all to do with the 4473 and MJ still being a Class 1 banned substance federally..
Not a problem for me as I never liked the stuff so I'll happily shoot away.

Any way they can restrict more people from firearms, they're going to do it.
Who knows, this may have been their plan all a long knowing how many people would want to use medical marijuana.

The same is true now. A person can hide or lie about their marijuana use and take your chances just the same.

Nothing has changed except states have decided to institute an exception for certain drug use against federal law. We can't say yeah that's a good thing, but then rail against sanctuary cities. I'm not saying you are, just making a point that we can't have it both ways. The feds either need to be challenged on a variety of issues, or we need to abide by them. The state isn't going to stand up for the pot smoker that mistakenly purchased a firearm. So as with anyone else that breaks the rules you're on your own.
I respectfully disagree. I see the Federal Government as having the authority to protect our national borders, and therefore Sanctuary cities are bullshit. IMHO the Federal Gov't has NO business dictating drug laws.

I think at least some of your facts are in error:
