Most likely a weight requirement while having to keep a full sized grip.

I'd rather have it the other way around, G17 slide on a G19 frame. A G19 slide on a G26 frame would be nice too.

Seriously, I've been hoping they would do that. Something like the idea of the Commander version of the Colt Government Model. It gives a full sized grip with full magazine capacity and a shorter barrel for a little easier carry.

I had a G19 for years and only used it ONCE in competition. After pinching the living hell out of the heel of my hand doing fast mag changes I wanted something a bit longer in the grip so I traded it on a G17.
