My main complaint with Shields I have owned is the mags are difficult for me at best to load to full capacity ! That said I know that I could have gotten a speedloader specifically for it but that just another item you need to throw into the range bag.My Glocks,Rugers and even S&W SDs are a lot easier to load by hand and just as dependable.I did like the Shield, accurate and no issues, but this is why many mfgs make similar models of thier competition. Congrats.

Love the Shield, have 4, but love the G43 more. Why?

    1. Cleaner design
    2. Lower bore axis
    3. More aggressive trigger guard undercut
    4. Slightly smaller and lighter but it matters
    YMMV

Try loading a first gen CZ RAMI .40 flush fit mag.

Even with my mechanic's hands, it's still a bitch.

Glocks Suck! Especially all of them!

    LOL!
I dunno about the G43 - never held one. Maybe it would be OK with a thinner grip - I just never liked Glock grips.
I had a G27 and sold it long ago.

I didn't buy this because I thought it was better than a Glock - I bought it because it was a slim, 9mm handgun for two hundred bucks that wasn't made in a cave in the Himalayas.
If a G43 was $200 I may have considered it too.

    With the extended mag.

I think they should have made a completely different base plate instead of adding a "filler" piece.
The fact that the "filler" slides up and down a bit makes it seem cheesy. And I hate the silver that shows through the gap.

Go to a range that rents pistols. Shoot a Glock 43. You can thank us later.

I'll thank you if they also have a $200 price tag. LOL

    LOL....I don’t think that’s gonna happen.
I hear you though. The Glocks don’t “feel” as good in my hands either. I was running a few different manufacturers pistols over the years. I really like the S&W M&Ps, still do. I couldn’t get past the triggers, but man are the ergo’s for my hands there? You bet! I could have upgraded or replaced the triggers I suppose.

I went to all Glock pistols, three maybe four years ago, haven’t looked back!

Yes, I've read the reviews and comments on the triggers.
Meh. I can see wanting a nice trigger and it certainly makes a difference when shooting at targets, but I don't think it's going to make a difference in the heat of the moment if I ever need to press the trigger to defend my life.
All of my carry guns have had heavy DAO triggers. I can probably live with this.

And if I want to swap it out, a drop in trigger won't break the bank - especially since I've only got $200 into it.

I just like to poke a stick at Glock guys. I respect Glocks for what they are - I just don't shoot them well.
