I considered doing "something" of that nature to supplement my income during the winter months, but I don't know that crafty items are all that profitable. My dad used to make wooden items to sell and the lesson I learned was that being GOOD at your craft and creating exceptional pieces results in a lot of people picking up the item, offering high praise for the skill needed to create such works, and putting it down and walking away.
Cheap and "common" are the things that tend to sell. You can't put a lot of time into something if the intent is to make any money - people don't care about the time/labor involved - they want "cheap".

Jewelry is a pretty common use for brass.

I just did a search for the place that Mrs EM got these and in the "image" results there are tons and tons of people making and selling "ammo jewelry".

Saw a fantastic Christmas wreath made out of brass last week. We reload but have the bucket for junk that we can't use anymore for whatever reason. I know exactly what I'm doing with it for next year.

So many schools, so little time...

I've used empty .45 ACP brass as supports for shelving.

We melt ours down into ingots and sell them. I'm going to try to cast some this spring.. bought the casting sand, but need to make the wooden frame.
