I police up a bunch of it from the ground at Burma Rd anytime I'm up there. I throw it on the belly pan of the front of my Rail. Anytime I feel like having fun, I pull in somewhere and bump the parking blocks and a few handfuls spill out. Gives the cops in Philly a little job security figuring out how many shooters were at the 7-11 that night.
Sometimes when I hit the curb pulling into my driveway some spills out. (I like to cut the wheel and blip the throttle to make a grandiose sideways entry to the homestead!) the local liberals busy themselves pissing their pants as they walk their sissyhounds and find artillery rounds all over the street.

I laughed at that one, though I think it's a bad idea. Just makes the kids a little more afraid of firearms.

I wouldn't waste the brass myself. Scrap or reload.

Why don't you just sort them and sell them to people who reload. I'm sure they are worth more that way.

Not always. What prompted this for me was the thought of what to do with berdan primed ammo casings or nickel/aluminum casings.

Berdan primed cases can be reloaded. Just need the right tools and replacement primers.

Quite true! But until an EMP strike from North Korea occurs, why would you want to???

That is my understanding of it. Most guys don't want to go through the trouble.

I pinch the case mouth of 9mm brass flat with a vise and use it to scrape carbon and lead from around the forcing cone of revolvers. It’s harder than lead but softer than steel so it doesn’t scratch the gun.

My Yamaha V-Twin came with a crazy air injection system that most owners remove. That leaves a port in each cylinder that needs blocking. .45 ACP cases with fired primers intact fit and seal the ports perfectly.

Now that bike is probably illegal in New Jersey.
