    The other night we were waiting for food at Booth’s Corner and a buddy whose last name is Johnson called. I answered and about 2 seconds later his brother and brothers wife who had been walking around Booths Corner saw me and stepped up to say hi. I looked at them and said, "I’m talking to your brother, I’ feel like I am surrounded by Johnson’s". The second the word escaped my mouth I was like “ shit, that did not sound right"

    Anyone got some good verbal slip ups to share?
    I told a girl “now you can suck for money”.

    That was followed by an awkward pause, and a subsequent poor review on Google.

    But I didn’t mean what you may be thinking (;

    thats irony right there...

    years back a customer came in all irate and iirc it was only made worse and right before they left i yelled out "enjoy your evening"
    then there's been cussing in front of customers and i've made quite a few faux pas' over the years with various terms.

    Many years ago, I was going for a job interview. The office was an old three-story building with no elevator, and the person I was interviewing was on the third floor, so it was a walk up two flights of stairs. I arrived, and the owners thirty-something year old daughter was escorting me to the office of the interviewer. I was following her, and as we approached the first flight of stairs, she stepped aside, motioned me to go ahead of her, and said "You go first, I never go up in front of men". I will mention, she had a sizeable backside. Trying to make small talk as we went along, I responded to her statement by asking, "Oh, do you go down in front of men?" Yikes, what an idiot. I did get the job, though.

    When I was 15 and in High School, I worked at a party store. Party stores in Michigan are like liquor stores but more. We sold subs, beer, soda, pizza, mixers, etc. I bought a one pound sack of cashews once and went to school the next day asking people if they wanted any of my nuts.

    Did any of them laugh at you for misidentifying your bag of seeds as nuts?

    They were my friends, so yes they laughed. They also happily reached into my sack to grab themselves some salted nuts.(cashews)

    If they grabbed your salty nuts, they definitely were not grabbing cashews.
