Colt 1991 Silver Dragon Ltd. Edition Resale?
I was wondering if anyone knows how resale values go on limited edition guns. I have a Colt 1991 A1 Silver Dragon NIB with all original paperwork. It is one of 200 that were manufactured. I recenty purchased it for it's original issue price when it was released in 2004. It's a beautiful gun with a highly polished slide with a multi-colored dragon drapped over it. The wood grips look like scales. The dragon was done by Baron Technology in CT. I know depending on the popularity the resale will vary greatly, but do they generally appreciate in value?
Thanks....

Re: Colt 1991 Silver Dragon Ltd. Edition Resale?
Here is a partial statement exerpted from the Blue Book of Gun Vales about Commemoratives, Special Editions and Limited Mfg.:
One of the characteristics of C/SE/LM's is that over the years of ownership, most of the original amount manufactured stays in the same NIB condition. Thus, if supply always is constant and in one condition, demand has to increase before price appreciation can occur.
They also say:
NIB C/SE/LM firearms should be absolutely new, unfired, and as issued, since any obvious use or wear removes it form collector status and lowers it's value significantly.
