Your argument is invalid and quite frankly reeks of priveledged entitlement.
What I replied to was not the privileged entitlement you believe that cops have, but your sweeping condemnation that all " special animals" support the idea that the unwashed masses don't deserve national reciprocity. I would hazard a guess that most cops actually support the idea and really don't care whether a law abiding citizen is carrying a gun. But your comment "but I'll bet one of those special animals will be along to tell me how they "are the only ones professional enough" to have one." holds the same validity as my statements and reeks of envy and jealousy. As far as anyone can be a cop? Sure and why not... after all ...we are all created equal.. If carrying a firearm anywhere in the US is a priority in a persons life, then becoming a special animal is a way to achieve that.

    Some animals are more equal.
I'm not sure what ones job has to do with obtaining a firearms license, but I'll bet one of those special animals will be along to tell me how they "are the only ones professional enough" to have one.
My mom told me I was special and I believe her.

Carson, and Big Kahuna, I never said that every special animal wanted it that way, but the fact of the matter is, that's the way it is. The fact that you all get so upset about it when it is pointed out reinforces my convictions.

As far as someone having to become a cop to get nationwide carry status is as stupid an idea as someone having to be a dairy farmer to get fresh milk.

I could never be a cop. I am 55 years old, and am well aware of my flaws and personality defects. That said, I am not a hypocritical authoratative prick with anger issues, which seems to be the norm for many cops these days.
