Default 1975 Colt Cobra - Cracked frame advice

I have a Colt Cobra with a cracked frame (Pics below)

    https://imgur.com/a/NF27b

I'm not sure how long its been cracked.

Is it safe to fire? The reason I ask is it doesn't seem as though this part of the frame takes a lot of pressure (Round goes from cylinder into bbl which contains vast majority of pressure)

If not, can it be repaired? If it can, how so?

Strip it for parts and wait for a gun buy back to get rid of the frame.

You can always clean it up and put it in a shadow box. Seal it up tight with a note on the inside that the frame is destroyed. Hang it o the wall. Maybe one day you will come across a frame and you can rebuild it.

Have you talked to Colt about this? Unless it was my only gun and my life was in danger, I would not shoot it.
