Anyone have a set of night sights on an AK they recommend?

Hi, I would like to get this right on the first purchase but have found very little information concerning user reviews. I’ve read about the Krebs peep with the xs stripe but not much about how well it works in low light. The distant peep seems restrictive for low light. I’m leaning towards the standard dot XS set but have zero reviews to go with it. If you comment, please be detailed on your type of sight setup and the pros/cons. I know I can add a red dot but want this rifle to stay iron only. Thanks ahead.

Here's how the aperture of a peep sight works- When you peer through it, your eye and brain automatically find the clearest, brightest area...which is in the center.

That is not what happens in a peep that far from the eye. Such a peep position is just a substitute for a notch or any other device.
