& the laws against daggers. because them double sided blades are at least TWICE as stabby.
has anyone read the fix nics yet? just recently the government failed to report the texas shooter and is supposedly issuing over 3,000 calls to seize weapons from prohibited people's whom slipped through current nics due to failed reporting.
is it really bad or is it just propaganda designed to convince us to nuke reciprocity?
it is nice seeing the dems get so mad over them being tied together so i imagine there's something bad to it.
i found these as potentials. due for reelection in 2018/2019, states trump won, states with reciprocity, aren't sponsoring the "big dem" bills by schumer, pelosi, etc ilk. (only did a quick search)

i wouldn't mind some background info if anyone recognizes the names.
These republicans have not co-sponsored the senate version of bill.

Carry ANY knife in Philly and you're breaking the law.
If memory serves, you are only permitted to have a knife while actively using it for your profession (e.g. cutting vinyl flooring). Not allowed to just have it on the job site, have to actually be using it. And I don't recall a provision for transporting it *to* the job site.
I could be mis-remembering, but...

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity This Week! Call Now!
I just sent this off:
Representative Fitzpatrick,
I will be brief.
Our own Pennsylvania State Constitution states:
Article I § 21. Right to bear arms.
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.
So, as our representative from Pennsylvania and recipient of my vote, why did you vote no? What gives you the right to deny those rights guaranteed by both the US Constitution and our state Constitution to a licensed person such as myself?

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity This Week! Call Now!
I would assume the "no" votes come from the fix NICS bullshit. From what I've gathered it pretty much will be adding a bunch of people from Social Security, Obamacare, and other places without the affected seeing a day in court.
I'm all for national reciprocity, but attaching the fix NICS bill isn't worth it. It needs to pass on its own merit, not hamper rights while broadening them. The way the Senate is stacked it won't happen, but I would rather deal with NJ and NY nonsense as we always have than give up anymore rights.

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity This Week! Call Now!
UNLESS they changed the wording of 4477 (fix NICS) before attaching it to 38 (NCCR), then there was NOTHING in 4477 that was any cause for concern. Go read the actual bills.
Note, i'm retardedly tired this morning due to a clusterfuck of a schedule yesterday, so I haven't bothered to try and find nor read the revision that passed voting.

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity This Week! Call Now!
This is my impression from reading it as well. As it stands it's nothing that would prohibit anymore people than now. I think the fear is it could be bastardized in the future to include more people ie: The VA removing vet's rights for letting someone be there power of attorney. The sensational claims made by some, like speeding tickets will be prohibiting, aren't written in there. I don't think it's a good idea or anything that will be a plus for us, but it's not as bad as some make it out to be, unless a future administration finds a way to use it to harm us.

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity This Week! Call Now!
The problem is HR 38 would be DOA in the Senate as a stand alone bill and 4477 would pass as a stand alone. If they weren't combined we would end up with the "fix nics" and not get reciprocity. I get the strategy, if the Dems really want 4477, they are going to have to swallow 38 now. IMHO I think we're not getting either from the Senate now. I'm going to guess that it'll be a poison pill both ways.
