    Default Any DD owners here...

    Anybody own a DD here?

Here is my L39 20mm Lahti that I bought back in late 2004, received it in early 2005. I reload for it too.

Love it. You should bring that out to a shoot sometime.

What's a single round costing you? What are you using for reloading equipment? How is the accuracy/consistency?

That's funny you bring this up. I ALMOST bought a lahti, what held me back was the ammo.
So I bought a ma duce instead.

I own a DD, the crappiest kind, worth less than what I paid for it. can you guess?

That's an incredible piece of history... definitely jealous of you. I personally own a 40mm M203, but damn, nothing like that Lahti.

Got yourself a good ol street sweeper eh?

Until the day we are allowed (never) to get the golden eggs for the goose, the only DDs in PA worth owning are the Lahti and Solothurns.
Well those and the other DDs (o)(o)

The Lahtis are a blast to shoot, no pun intended.
    Deff an experience.

Although serial numbers go to about 4000, they only made 1906 units. So either there were serial number blocks or they were trying to deceive the Rooskies into thinking that they had twice as many.

Only 999 were imported by Interarms back in the early 1960s. My guess is about half are active 20mm, the rest are either converted to 50 BMG, dewat/display, and confiscated/destroyed. Yes they were used in a crime, a Brinks robbery back in 1965 and the basis for the movie: Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Most of the Lahtis outside the U.S. are in museums and the Finnish military scrapped their Lahtis back in the late 1980s.

For reloading, mine came with a set of dies and I use my all steel Rib Mountain Arms 50 BMG reloading press (company long out of bus). The current crop of 50BMG presses are a no go since they use aluminum for the base. I broke my ammomaster press way back at the base while re-sizing 50 cases. That's what made me buy a stronger press. I use the ammomaster for bullet seating only. CD-4D does make 20mm dies (Lahti, Vulcan) and a $1600 rock crusher press and other reloading tools for the 20mm.

Cases that I have use a 50 BMG primer, WC872 powder and a 1500gr Vulcan projo.
