I know a guy that found a skull. he showed it to someone from the game commission. They tried to shoot down the idea, that it might be a mountain lion.

I believe so! I live near the the Chestnut Ridge and some neighbors up the ridge have claimed to see them in their yards...one witness was the former police chief!

If I ever see one, you'll have proof! LOL

I have seen a mountain lion in PA, several years ago. It was also seen by many other residents of Upper Uwchlan Township near Marsh Creek State Park, and the PGC was on alert to keep an eye out for it. When I saw it, it was having its way with a flock of geese near a pond in an industrial park. I stopped the car and the kids and I watched as it stalked the geese, than attacked. I remember thinking if it lives in the area it must be one well fed cat, because the geese are so plentiful and stupid around here.

I didn't know at the time that the PGC was trying to trap it, and found out by sheer coincidence when I called them a few days later about a deer that had been hit by a car and was near death on my property. They came to euthanize the deer, and when I made a crack about dropping it off at March Creek for the mtn lion, they had a fit because I didn't call to report the sighting. I assumed they were indiginous to the area, and like the bears that occasionally wander into a neighborhood, mtn lions were just another species rapidly being displaced from their territory by urban sprawl. The PGC guys told me that a lot of cats and dogs have been reported missing over the past few months, and although a mtn lion might run when they encounter a human, if they're hungry, they'll stalk us instead. Live and learn.

This subject is alot like Bigfoot. There are always sightings but never any real proof. If there are mountain lions they were brought here illegally by someone wanting an exotic pet. As far as I know there hasn't been one in Pa on record for over one hundred and twenty five years.(Other than the ones that escaped from the circus). I won't believe until I see proof and a pic isn't good enough. There was a pic on the net of one on a back porch and everyone and their mother claimed it was their own back yard!
