Re: ARE THERE MOUNTAIN LIONS IN PA?
It surprises me that we have no Mountain Lions in PA. It seems like an excellent habitat for them with a plentiful food source. Our habitat accommodates Wolves, and Coyotes, so why not big cats?

Re: ARE THERE MOUNTAIN LIONS IN PA?
^This!! There has been documented evidence of Mt Lions being tagged in the south (below PA) and then being located north of PA, so its not impossible to assume that one passes through from time-to-time. However, I do not believe there are reproducing populations of mountain lions in PA.

Re: ARE THERE MOUNTAIN LIONS IN PA?
Two of my uncles claim to have discovered a mountain lion sleeping under their log skidder one morning up in Elk County back in the 1990's. Neither are the type to lie or give you a line of shit.
However, I don't believe there is a sustainable breeding population in PA. Mountain lions have a rather larger roaming territory, so it is very possible for them to come in and out of the state.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag

Re: ARE THERE MOUNTAIN LIONS IN PA?
PSU logic here:
The Nittany Lion is the mascot of Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania, USA and its athletic teams. It refers to the mountain lions that once were fabled to roam near the school, and to Mount Nittany, a local landmark.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
