    I guess I've never seen the attractive gunshot wounds caused by non-military weapons of war, like a 30-30 or 30-06 or .308 hunting rifle. I bet they leave smiley face scars that smell like vanilla.

    Highly doubtful. Unless you're including military-style rifles. I'd bet far more commercial bolt , pump , lever , semi-auto and single shot sporting rifles. I do recall reading the US Gov't buying a few hundred Winchester 94's in 30-30 for their railroad guards.
