Permit question?
I applied for CCW permit on the 22nd of September, i was told if I didn't hear from anyone in 2 weeks, I could come and pick up my permit, the office hours to the government center where I applied are M-F 8 am to 4:30 pm, I happen to work the same hours, can't take time off, not sure when I'd be able to get there to grab it, my question is, can my wife pick up my permit for me? Or does it have to be the person who applied for it?

Re: Permit question?
Give them a phone call and explain your situation to them...MOST counties will work with you... Last time I even had a Sheriff Deputy drop it off at my house because he lived in Hazleton ( where I live ).... had a great conversation with him for a bit before he had to leave... but anyway, they might be able to mail it to your address or make some other kind of arrangements for you... the worse they can say is NO... it has to be picked up by the person applying for the LTCF... Give it a try and good luck

Re: Permit question?
Thanks for the info, I tried to call the office a few times today and all I got was a machine, seems the receptionist is either very busy or non existent....

Re: Permit question?
Fyi, Pennsylvania does not issue permits. They issue a license to carry firearms

Re: Permit question?
Have they already taken your picture and captured your signature for the license? If so, maybe they'll mail it or let your wife pick it up. If not, you will need to take off work and pick it up.
FYI: I believe if you had applied at the courthouse in Doylestown, you would have walked out with your license in 20 minutes that same day. That might be the way to go when it's time to renew since it's not easy for you to take off work.

Re: Permit question?
Did you go to Doylestown sheriff's department to apply? Are you a resident of Bucks County?
