Default Gun Control success in Australia.....

Gun Control success in Australia..... FAIL

    http://thenewdaily.com.au/news/natio...oblem-exposed/

Australians may be more at risk from gun crime than ever before with the country’s underground market for firearms ballooning in the past decade.

Previously unseen police statistics show that the number of pistol-related offences doubled in Victoria and rose by 300 per cent in New South Wales. At least two other states also saw a massive jump in firearms-related offences during the same period.

“Gun enthusiasts are quite right when they say guns don’t kill – it’s the bullets that kill,” he said. “For many years we just focused on the guns and ignored the ammunition that was lying around – now people are starting to realise that ammunition control is just as important.”
Like I needed a reason to buy more ammo but this gem has just spurred me to order more.

Ammo control, really? Short memories. The 1968 GCA required the registration of handgun ammo buyers for each transaction. This from 1968 to 1986.

The paperwork accumulation created such havoc for the ATF, the agency testified in front of Congress the uselessness of the law and the paperwork nightmare. In 1986 the requirement was rescinded by congress.

The muslim gangs and motorcycle gangs are loving the gun laws in Australia. It's made smuggling guns extremely lucrative. AKs and ARs can be sold for over $10K.
