There was an incident at the Norristown Funny Farm about 20-25yrs ago where a former inmate bought a percussion revolver thru the mail , went to NSH , took hostages , shot and killed one of his former nurses. One of the Dems wanted BP revolvers treated just like cartridge handguns. Background checks and record of sale.

I believe one of our local (lower frederick) cops was one of the troopers on the response team of this incident. Sounds like it was a terrible situation.
