Re: Synthetic jacket Bullet Ammo
I reload synthetic coated bullets and they work great. I've shot about 5k of them through my Glock and no leading. I wouldn't worry about trying them.

Federal bought the rights to the old S&W 'Nyclad' process.

Re: Synthetic jacket Bullet Ammo
Basically just a powder coated cast or swaged lead bullet and just like a plain uncoated one will shoot just fine IF it fits your bore good if it's undersized like most commercial cast 9mm bullets well not so good accuracy , May want to buy a single box and try them first before ordering a case

Wouldn't it create polymer barrel fouling? Sort of like what trap and skeet shooters experience due to the plastic wadding in shotgun shells. IIRC, you need to use a solvent that will dissolve plastic.

Not really and issue that I have seen. Any fouling from the coating can be wiped out pretty quick shooting some jacketed or plated ammo. Most solvents out there will eat at the coatings so you get it out with a brush pretty easy. Tough fouling to get out is what is left behind from aluminum bullets, I don't know of a gun solvent that will get aluminum out easy.

Re: Synthetic jacket Bullet Ammo
Depends on the coating material used. The S&W/Federal Nyclad process used a tough nylon coating. Patented process , top secret. Meant to provide an economical bullet for training with reduced airborne lead on indoor ranges and yet effective for duty use. I have fired a good bit of it and never noticed any odd residue in the bore.
