Only experience I had was yrs ago I bought some plastic cased .38 ammo (I 4git the brand but they were in red white wnd blue boxes) w aluminum bases and black sidewalls....looked like tiny shotgun shells and were CRAP to load into several revolvers and had to be tamped OUT after firing with a pencil or other long object and a hammer!!. I finally got rid of a few boxes to 'friends' CHEAP and w warnings..and finally pulled all the remaining 125 gr copper-washed lead bullets to reload into BRASS, and discarded all them damned plastic cases. What crap.

what I don't get is, the advantage over copper plated. None of the "coated" bullets seem to be any cheaper than traditional copper plated ones currently. I wanted to get some of the CCI holiday .22LR (because cute furry woodland critter with santa hat on the box!) but the mark up wasn't worth it to me.
