WTK: Benjamin Model 110 Air Pistol
I hope you don't mind an Air Pistol Question.
I have a Benjamin Model 110 Air Pistol that belonged to my Grandfather. I believe it is cal. .177. My father told me his dad bought it before WWII just prior to him being drafted. It is marked "BENJAMIN AIR RIFLE CO. ST LOUIS USA".
This pistol has been in my father's belongings that he left with me since the 1960s.
I would like to know more about it and it's value. I haven't had time to clean it up. I will clean and apply oil in the very near future.
I have seen Benjamin Model 132 Air Pistols on Ebay for $225.00. They are .22 cal. and they are identical in appearance to the 110 that I have.
Thank You for your opinions and knowledge!

Re: WTK: Benjamin Model 110 Air Pistol
There are collectors. That really goes back.... It should have leather washers in the pressure pump, which called for occasional oiling. Any old oil may be pretty hard now, and it may not make pressure sufficient to drive the pellet. You levered it open, so, thankfully, it isn't frozen.
The rear sight seems pretty far right. Is it just loose, or is that what's needed to zero it? If so, the barrel may be bent. The photo suggests it is bent from squeezing the barrel and pump body. That may be a photograph anomaly. Pretty cool acquisition!
I have a .22 model purchased in 1954/55. Still works. .177 is a better caliber...faster pellet.Last edited by Bang; November 12th, 2017 at 04:03 PM.

Re: WTK: Benjamin Model 110 Air Pistol
I bought mine from ebay a long time ago for 50.00
It came with the original box and pellets. I had the seals
replaced by a company in pa that specifically worked on benjamin stuff,
cant remember the name though.
I use mine for the rodents out back eating out of the trashcans.
I only use one pump just to scare them. 10 pumps it hits pretty hard.

My Blue Book of Airguns is an older 6th edition. It lists the models 110, 112, 117 as being made from 1938-1941. A 100% pistol is valued at $175 and 80% condition at $110. Add 25% if you have the box and instruction sheet. BTW, the 110 is listed as more valuable than the 130 series (including 132 and 137). The basic difference in the models is the smooth bore if for BBs, rifled for 17 caliber and 22 caliber pellets.
