    I guess you can put me on the "its OK to shoot lead bullets" in a polygonal barrel. I have a CZ-82 in 9x18 and cast my own bullets. I heard the internet lore (mainly by Glocksters) so I was apprehensive at first. Even went to the point if looking down my barrel every 50 rounds to make sure I didn't blow up.

    Well I didn't blow up and there is minimal leading after 300 rounds. It wipes right out of the smooth barrel with a pass or two with a brush and is less than I see with a .38 and standard rifling. For the cost savings 99% of the 9x18's I shoot are cast.

    Just don't shoot thousands of lead rounds thru without cleaning the barrel occasionally (as with any firearm).

    The CZ82 is more of a traditional polygonal rifling than the Glock which is a modified polygonal bore.
