Form 1/4 CLEO notification to State Police
Anyone here send their CLEO notification copy for Form 1 and 4 to the Pennsylvania State Police?
My impression is that they are completely clueless about it. I don’t know why that bothers me, except that I feel like I’m jumping through hoops that are a complete waste of time. I also can’t help but think about recent events where the current laws and regulations are not being adequately enforced, but the gun grabbers still want more laws.
If you have a different experience with the PSP on this topic, I’d like to hear it.

Why would you send it to the PSP? Send it to your county sheriff if you don't have a local police.

Borough or city chief of police.
County sheriff.
County district attorney.
All are acceptable as CLEOs.
I don't know of anyone locally who sent their Form 1/4 copies to the local PSP station.

Re: Form 1/4 CLEO notification to State Police
As others have already stated. County Sheriff is probably the best bet.
Chief Law Enforcement Officer is confusing here in PA. Some will argue that is the DA, some Sheriff, Chief of Police in your municipality. In any event your local PSP barracks isn't the right answer- perhaps Commissioner- PA State Police, what evs...
There are other states that do in fact use the State Police, but again here in PA- imho Sheriff or Local Chief is your best bet"It seems that the Constitution is more or less guidelines than actual rules"

I should send it to my mom. She's the lowest level of authority according to my dad.
